Social & Cultural Anthropologist
As a trained social and cultural anthropologist and with a PhD in socio-cultural sciences from KU Leuven, Emma spent five years working as a manager at sustainability consultant iPropeller. She combined her academic background with business innovation, sustainability strategy and collaborations between companies and entrepreneurs.
She also gained specialised expertise in society-oriented innovation in the agri-food industry, which she brought with her to Flanders’ FOOD. She is responsible for developing an ecosystem between food companies and start-ups and manages a number of Horizon 2020 projects. All of this from a sustainability angle.
Her greatest passion? Her son Miles and anything to do with art and culture.
