Bioengineer Food Technology
Ines received her degree in bioengineering from KU Leuven in 2007. After graduation, she started a doctoral research focusing on the bioavailability of lycopene in processed tomato products. In 2012, Ines made the switch to industry where she gained valuable experience in both the meat industry at Terbeke-Pluma (What's Cooking) and in the world of ingredients at Kemin Food Technologies.
Ines' passion for food, science and innovation eventually led her to Flanders' FOOD. Since September 2023, she has fulfilled the role of innovation manager for projects related to the 'World Class Food Production' programme.
Ines is also a busy bee outside work. You can find her with her two daughters, in the dance hall, while jogging, or on the tennis court.
